If you are a choral director, you need to order a copy of this book, if you know a choral director, order a copy for him (or her). It is an easy-read, an interesting read, a sometimes humorous read, and is simply BRIMMING with good advice. As Timothy Seelig states, "It's a Trip!", and it is written as a journey, so...in Part 1, you plan the trip, which includes everything to do before the first rehearsal. In Part 2, hitting the road, rehearsals begin. Then, there is Part 3, the trip home, where you evaluate the performance and learn to say "Thank You" gracefully. There is so much here, that every director needs to know, you will be glad you have this book as a resource.
