The "Accent On Achievement" band series provides an excellent start for the beginning band student. Book 1 offers basic information about the various instruments, and introduces general music information such as how to hold the instruments and how to read music. The books have a lot of exercises, traditional tunes, folk tunes from many lands, and many short pieces composed by the classical masters. Your students will learn as they play, and the more they play, the better your band will sound. A CD is included with each of the books so your students can practice with a "band" on their own time.
