This 1969 piece was Ron Nelson's first major work for band. It was commissioned for the University of Minnesota Band's Russian tour. "Rocky Point Holiday" was written in Rocky Point, Rhode Island while the composer was on vacation.

Technical Notes: The celeste part is labeled "Celesta (Piano)". The 1st percussion part is for glockenspiel, marimba, xylophone, and vibraphone. The 2nd percussion part is for triangle, cymbal, snare drum, bass drum, bongos, anvil, tambourine, field drum and maracas.
