We are excited to bring you this wonderful CD featuring the United States Marine Band, considered the top military band in the United States. Our collection features the magical and majestic music of Hector Berlioz, whose musical life differed greatly from his predecessors. Piano lessons were common nature for musicians. Berlioz did not take piano lessons though, instead he began his musical training on flute, guitar, and voice. He composed music for different sized orchestras with different instrumentation. This act lead to a new foundation of musical expression. His music focused on newer instruments and voicings. Our CD features the work that he wrote to be played at his own funeral in 1869.
