"On Christmas Day (I Saw Three Ships") is a remarkably fresh take on a great old carol. James Curnow has produced a gem of an arrangement for that extremely important Grade 1 1/2 level. Rich with musicality, "On Christmas Day" encourages your young musicians to take musical expression to a new and higher level. This will be the big hit at your developing band’s Christmas concert performance.
Technical Notes: There is an additional unlisted optional part labelled "Flexible Bass Line" that can be used by electric bass, keyboard or any other bass clef instrument to help supplement the low end of the music. The mallet percussion part calls for chimes and bells, the percussion 1 part calls for snare drum and bass drum, and the percussion 2 part calls for triangle, tambourine, sleigh bells and optionally ships bell.
