This is the perfect arrangement for your beginning band's first patriotic performance! There are lots of opportunities for young players to solidify basic skills here. Easy accidentals, articulations, dynamics and phrasing can all be taught while rehearsing "Sea To Shining Sea". Use this Curnow arrangement whenever the opportunity arises for your band to perform at concerts, flag ceremonies, and assemblies. "America, The Beautiful" is always a crowd pleaser. Technical Notes: There is an additional unlisted optional part labelled "Flexible Bass Line" that can be used by electric bass, keyboard or any other bass clef instrument to help supplement the low end of the music. The mallet percussion, timpani and percussion 2 parts are all listed as optional. There are two versions of the percussion 1 part - one of standard difficulty and an optional advanced difficulty version. The mallet percussion part calls for bells, the percussion 1 part calls for snare drum and bass drum, and the percussion 2 part calls for tambourine and suspended cymbal.
