You must hear this exciting new Grade 2 concert piece by James Curnow. He once again proves that he is a master at composition for every level of difficulty. An engaging short thematic statement sets the stage for energetic development and harmonic exploration. Contrasts in scoring density help to emphasize the excitement of "Dance Episodes". This will make an excellent choice for concert or contest, and should be part of your music library. A CD, previewing this piece and several others is included with this band set.
Technical Notes: There is an additional optional part labelled "Flexible Bass Line" that can be used by electric bass, keyboard or other bass clef instrument. The mallet percussion part calls for xylophone and bells, the percussion 1 part calls for triangle, snare drum, bass drum and slapstick, and the percussion 2 part calls for triangle, tambourine, maracas, bongos and suspended cymbal.
