Let your best soloist do a musical battle with the devil (could your principal play the part?) in this cleverly designed novelty number. "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" was a number 1 hit for the Charlie Daniels Band back in 1979. Let your band make it their own hit at their next concert!

Technical Notes: You will use one soloist for the solo part - use any one of flute, violin, clarinet, alto saxophone or xylophone/marimba. Solo parts are provided for each of these instruments, but you will use only one of them. There is an optional narrator part that has a modified version for each of the solo instruments that corresponds well with the original lyrics of the song. The percussion 1 part calls for drum set, the percussion 2 part calls for tambourine, suspended cymbal and vibraslap and the mallet percussion part calls for chimes and bells.

Estimated Performance Time: 3:40
