Dr. Robert Spittal has composed works for many different genres of music. Many of them have won awards and have been recorded by ensembles around the globe. This piece is derived from one of Spittal's works. He was going to use the melody and structure from one of his chamber compositions, but the size of a wind ensemble offered Spittal a chance to grow and expand his melodies, thus this became an entirely new piece. It is a beautiful ballad that features full chords, gorgeous melodies, awesome harmonies, and an emotional ending. The power of this masterpiece will be felt by all. Your advanced ensemble will be challenged in new ways thanks to this moving work. Add it to your next concert.
Technical Notes: The percussion 1 part is for suspended cymbal, wind chimes, and crash cymbals. The percussion 2 part is for chimes and bells.
