Take your two best percussionists, stage them up front and let them dazzle your audience with this clever feature for two xylophone players (or 1 xylophone and 1 marimba). Using the classic "Dueling Banjos" tune, arranger Richard Saucedo has created a great novelty piece that has easy band parts as an accompaniment.
Technical Notes: The 1st percussion part can be played by a drum set. The 2nd percussion part is for tambourine, duck call and slide whistle. The keyboard percussion part is labeled as "mallet percussion" on the score. These parts can be played by 2 xylophones or 1 xylophone and 1 marimba.
