Hardy Mertens was born 1960 in Limburg. He was involved with music all his life and joined the symphonic band with his father at an early age. His compositions are well known, and are performed regularly. Our collection features some of his many great works. You will hear the Royal Military Band, which has been around since 1829, perform his works. This fine ensemble is under Merten's direction, so you know that this is the way the music should be heard.
