The use of instruments in the Church has become quite widespread in the twentieth century with a rich background rooted in the Baroque period. Consequently, many instruments are being used with little original repertoire available. This collection consists of music that was written in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries by the best composers of the era including J.S. Bach, Handel and Mendelssohn. Much of the music is well known in concert and in church settings. The variety of length of the works, provides music that can be used for Prelude, offertory, instrumental interlude, or Postlude in the Church service. The music is of the highest quality and can be used for recital or concert purposes. The book was compiled by Norman M. Heim.
