Here is a wonderful book that really focuses on theory, style, terms, genres and many other aspects of the flute and music. The beginning of the book deals with scales, playing posture and fingerings but from there you go right into double and triple tonguing, trills, harmonics, vibrato, articulation and many other important skills of playing the flute. The book ends by discussing five genres of music and giving you a piece or two from each genre so you can hear and play the music of that particular time period. This instruction book is a very complete and will elevate any flute player's skill level.
