Item number 1701807AW, 47 pages, $10.95

The French composer Emmanuel Chabrier was originally employed in the Ministry of the Interior in Paris, but in 1880 he abandoned his bureaucratic career to dedicate himself entirely to music. His compositions include some colourful orchestral compositions and piano music that had a marked influence on subsequent generations of French composers including Debussy, Ravel and Poulenc. This folio features three romantic waltzes composed by Chabrier. They are his celebration of the popular moderately triple-time dance of the period. The collection is transcribed for one piano/four hands and is an elegant addition to any piano performance.
