Moussorgsky was a virtuoso whose talents became recognized mostly after his death. "Pictures At An Exhibition" is considered to be his best work, and has helped to set the standard for Russian music. This piece was arranged and edited so often through the first half of the twentieth century that some editions were very different from the original work.
