"Book 2, Elementary", reinforces the concepts of rests, tied notes, accents, upbeats, chords and blocked intervals. Five finger hand positions and beyond are utilized. Basic musical terminology and symbols are introduced such as fortissimo, crescendo, fermata, and piano, mezzo piano, and accent. A variety of different keys are utilized using accidentals instead of key signatures.
