This is a great song for marching bands. After having been first recorded in 1956 by Richard Berry and the Pharaohs, it was recorded and re-recorded by many groups, until it finally became a national hit in 1973. It has been a calypso song, and a rock song, and there have been entire albums with only various versions of "Louie Louie" devoted to them. Certainly, most everyone is familiar with this song, and your band and audience will delight in your rendition of this Nick Baratta arrangement.
