Composed for the 1960 Olympic Games, this familiar and powerful composition opens with a brilliant brass fanfare and is followed by a regal processional march. This is a stirring tribute to the Olympic Games and the ideals that they represent.
Technical Notes: The bells part is labeled "mallet percussion" in the score. The 1st percussion part is marked for snare drum and bass drum. The 2nd percussion part is marked for crash cymbals.
