This Barcus-Berry direct box accepts input from a 1/4" jack, and has both 1/4" and balanced XLR outputs. You can use this direct box between an instrument preamp and mixer/recorder, or between an amplifier and your speaker to product a clear, high quality sound. The switchable speaker simulating filter mimics the frequency response of a loudspeaker, which is really handy when you want a "live" sound, but don't want to annoy your neighbors!
Some special features of this Direct Box are an XLR jack for mic level, balanced output and a sliding switch to operate the speaker simulating filter. You'll really appreciate the tri-mode power feature, which will operate your Barcus Berry direct box on either an internal 9V batter, an AC adapter (included!), or any standard 48V phantom power source.
