This is a great jazz classic for your jazz quintet. "Moanin" has been arranged for trumpet, tenor saxophone, piano, bass, and drums but may also be played with alternate parts.
Technical Notes: The piece has been arranged into two parts with rhythm section. Each part is provided with the original recorded version and then with optional alternate parts. The first part consists of the recorded trumpet score, but may also be played with an alto saxophone or C treble clef instrument. The second part consists of the recorded tenor saxophone, but may be played with a baritone saxophone or a trombone. The rhythm section parts are for piano, bass, and drums.
