The theme music from "Shaft" was a seventies pop masterpiece, which we are proud to bring to you with this slick new arrangement by Tom Davis. The Isaac Hayes tune works great for jazz ensemble, and it will be popular with your students, especially considering the resurgence of seventies music. This arrangement offers you solo opportunities for Alto, Tenor, Trumpet or Trombone. Each solo is written out, but can be improvised as well.
Technical Notes: The flute, baritone saxophone, fourth trumpet, third and fourth trombone, tuba, and guitar have all been marked as being optional. The horns in F and baritone T.C. have been labeled as being optional alternate parts.
