The Bach family members had a love of music. In honor of that love, Johann Sebastian Bach assembled three notebooks full of favorite family pieces. The third of these "notebooks" was dedicated to Bach's wife Anna Magdalena. It contained many of her favorite musical works, some, but not all, composed by her husband. These pieces were intended for her enjoyment as a singer as well as for teaching music to the Bach children. It is from an Urtext edition of this original collection that pieces have been selected to present this new edition for piano.
