This lovely song, composed by Mary Earl with lyrics by Ballard MacDonald, was published early in the 20th century, Its beautiful melody charmed audiences and was later adopted as the state song of Ohio. This reproduction of the original sheet music from Leximo Publications contains MacDonalds original lyrics, not the newer ones that were written to be part of Ohio's state song. Sometimes old things are the best, we think.
