Art songs are songs that were created for performance in their own right. They were originally performed in homes, but are now usually concert or theater pieces. They are intended to be sung, accompanied by a piano. This collection "Favorite French Art Songs" has music from the works of Bizet, Chausson, Faure, Gounod, Hahn, Martini, Ravel, Satie and Viardot and are arranged for low voice.
Technical Notes: Lyrics are all in French. This volume has the English translation, pronunciation guide as well as a CD with tracks for recitation, pronunciation, and accompaniment for each song.
