Key Of D
Item number 2630120AW, $19.95

This unique instrument got its name from street urchins and performers who could earn a penny for each performance, using their whistles on the streets of England during the Victorian period. The instrument became so famous that Mr. Robert Clarke set out in 1843 to produce the finest penny whistles made. The famous Clarke Penny Whistle featured here is a result of those many years of craftmanship.

Clarke whistles are crafted in tin plate and feature a wood mouthpiece that gives the whistle a superior tone.

The Clarke Pennywhistle is available in either the key of C or the key of D. The key of D is ideal for traditional players and historical purists. The key of C is the most popular model for modern performers.
