No. 1,"Canone per augmentationem in motu contrario" ranks among the most complicated in Bach's oeuvre. No. 2,"Canone alla ottava", canon at the octave is the least complicated in that its high voice consistently represents the leader, and its low voice , the follower. No. 3,"Canone alla decima", canon at the tenth, and No. 4, "Canone alla duodecima", canon at the twelfth round out this amazing collection.
