Item number 1470016JE, 14 pages, $9.95 British baroque composer Georg Friedrich Handel composed this "Sonata No. 1 in G Minor" as a follow up to his widely-popular "Oboe Concerto". It's origin is traced to the years of 1710-1718 and was probably originally written for violin, oboe or viola, although here it is arranged for cello with piano accompaniment. It begins as a slow piece very deep in tone and pitch, progresses through a time signature change and a broader sound then concludes with a brighter, quicker pace. Musicians and audiences alike will appreciate it's stirring melody.
